The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme

The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme provides assistance that will help reduce emissions from public sector buildings. By 2037, a goal of reducing emissions by 75% has been arranged in comparison to the benchmark set in 2017. This was set out during the 2021 Net Zero and Heat and Buildings procedures. This scheme can incorporate several different purposes for example enhanced insulation, Solar and Commercial High Temperature Heat Pumps.

Both the Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund and the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme can be found to public sector organisations in England and areas of reserved public services through the United Kingdom.

The Pure High Temperature Heat Pump ranges are the next generation of Heat Pumps, providing as much as 120C flow temperatures, they are perfect for both retrofit and new build purposes. High Temperatures minimise limitations on applications and widen the scope to provide carbon and energy cost savings as outlined in The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.

At the time of writing this article (October 2022), the scheme’s Stage 3b application window is now open. The guidance notes, application form and application portal are offered on the Salix Finance website. Phase 3b will deliver around £635 million of funding over the financial years 2023 to here 2025.
